CLARKSVILLE, IOWA – A North Iowa woman is facing a number of criminal cases in court at this time.
Heather Sue Hartzell, age 24 of Clarksville, stands charged by Waterloo police with felony forgery. The charge was brought in August of 2015. She has pleaded not guilty and awaits a pre-trial conference on January 22 and a possible jury trial on January 26 if no deal is struck.
Hartzell – who has been caught stealing two previous times – was arrested by Clarksville police on January 19 for illegal possession of prescription drugs. She was released the next day. Previously, Clarksville police charged Hartzell on January 8 on a charge of assault with intent to inflict serious injury. KLMJ radio reported that she was in a verbal argument and allegedly displayed a knife. Police were able to arrest her over a week later on a warrant. She awaits a hearing on February 3 on these two charges.
