MINNEAPOLIS – Police last night in south Minneapolis discovered a man dead on a boulevard with gunshot wounds.
Around 10:42 PM, officers responded to the 2200 block of 13th Avenue South on a ShotSpotter activation that detected gunfire, which is when they found the deceased man.
A ShotSpotter system uses sensors to pick up sounds from a street that might be deciphered as gunfire and alerts police to that area.
Officers canvassed the area and spoke with several people at the scene. No one is in custody at this time.
The Medical Examiner will release the identity of the victim and the nature and cause of death.
