CLEAR LAKE – A Clear Lake woman who is accused of aggravated assault will stand trial in January.
Clear Lake police arrested Katy Marieann Mitchell, age 36, on August 26 after responding to a disturbance. After an investigation, it was determined that Mitchell was the aggressor in an altercation and had allegedly used or displayed a weapon. She was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with use or display of a weapon, an aggravated misdemeanor.
Mitchell was jailed and held on $2,000 bond, which she posted the next day and was released. Mitchell has pleaded not guilty and has taken a public defender in the case. A jury trial date of January 3 has been set.
