WATERLOO – There was a shooting incident in Waterloo over the holiday weekend, with two persons taken to a hospital.
Waterloo police reported that on Friday, July 4, 2014 at about 9:36 PM, Waterloo Police were dispatched to 735 Logan Avenue in Waterloo on the report of subjects shooting at each other. Officers learned that there was one shooting victim in the 300 block of Wendell Ct and that the second shooting victim showed up at Allen ER. Both victims received gunshots wounds are being treated at Allen Hospital for what appear to be non-life threating injuries. The area was blocked off for some time but has now been re-opened.
The investigation is on-going and the identities of the victims were not released.
