MASON CITY – A Mason City woman who failed to appear in court on a theft charge was arrested on a warrant and a trial date has been set.
Mariah Leigh Jurgena, age 20, was initially arrested by Mason City police for shoplifting on June 3, 2014 and charged with fifth degree theft. She had a court date on June 20, but she failed to show up. A warrant was issued for her arrest, and Cerro Gordo deputies located her at her home on East State Street on June 25 and took her to jail. She was released the next day on her own recognizance. A non-jury trial was set for July 25.

How about starting a club of middle aged men willing to financially help young wayward females. The more the girls give the more help they can get.
Sugar-daddies against crime. SAC. Let’s get em all in the SAC.
The girl is kind of cute. I’d probably give her a break.
Help her through her legal troubles. She may reward you with her affections. Casey Anthony and Jose Baez come to mind. Nothing wrong with an older established man taking under his protection a 20 year old wayward female. People may think I’m being sarcastic but I’m really not.
“Under his protection” Sounds pretty greasy
There you go. Failed to show up for court but was released on her own recognizance the next day. Makes a lot of sense doesn’t it. Who wants to take bets on her next court date.
I was thinking the same thing about being released on her own recognizance. She did not show up the first time and they had to go get her, why do they think she will show up now??
