  1. Board is a dinosaur. They report to no one unless they need monies, then to the supervisors. The supervisors have no clought with board decisions, which have been awful in the past 15 years. Too many opinions and babies that have opinions out there. They had people that wanted to invest in different areas and they scare them away and do not support them at all. JOKE. The by-laws where literally written in 1948. This is what old management can to to a business, kill it.

  2. someone should send all the negative information about the fair board to any candidates for the new position opening. And send that information to the new director when they are hired.

  3. You don’t hire a “General Manager / Executive Director” to have an entire Board pull strings and make demands w/out any synergy. You hire them to lead you, to create an environment of growth and progress. Difficult enough is that challenge with the NIEC, let alone having everyone else trying to give their opinions on what you should be doing and being the “expert” on any given subject.

  4. I intend no criticism of your opinion. I am simply inviting you to engage in some conversation about what you may know about what is happening at the events center.

    1. Heavy sigh…

Cow barn, you must understand that when attempting to converse with LVS, one must use simple words and the use of picture helps.

LVS is not the sharpest tool in the shed.

      1. Thanks for the insight. I am guessing, from reading many of his posts that we will soon reach the point where he resorts to name calling. Life is too short, Im not gonna play that game. Best wishes.

      2. I know Cow Barn, I know.

You asked an honest, simple and civil question of him and he went all asshole.
        Sadly, it’s his nature.

But don’t give up, as unlike LVS, there are some good people on here.

        1. Your theory about LVS has just been confirmed. Thank you for adding thoughtful and mature insight to adult conversation.

    2. From what I have seen LVS is N.I.T.’s full time bully. He very rarely has anything to add to the conversation. He just likes to bash people, call people names and threaten people. I guess it makes him feel better about himself. He thinks he is always right but he very seldom is. Most on this site just ignore him.

      1. Please report any comment that you find distasteful or attacking. I will then take a look at it. Any comment reported twice is automatically removed from the site. It can only come back if I approve it. Thanks.

    3. @!cow barn-I only know what I have heard and read about the fair board. When there are as many problems as there seems to be you must look to the ruling body. The fair has gone further down hill each and every year. If you look at the other fairs in the area put on but much smaller community’s you must ask, Why?
