Chicago woman accused of identity theft arrested as she was going door-to-door in MC

MASON CITY – A Chicago woman who was going door-to-door in Mason City was stopped and questioned by police before being taken to jail on an out-of-state warrant.

Police were called to the area of 9th Street NW and Harrison Avenue Thursday at about 1:00 PM for suspicious persons going door-to-door. Police located 25-year-old Shayla Spearman and placed her under arrest on an Illinois warrant related to identity theft. Police did not disclose whether Spearman was selling items and / or taking information from residents at the time of her arrest.

Spearman is being held on no bond in the Cerro Gordo County Jail.

  1. This is girl is trash and needs to be deported back to Chicago. Go knock on their doors trying to see who is home or not. She is just nasty.
