REPORTED MISSING
MASON CITY – A local man who was reported missing to the state’s missing persons agency on Monday was found safe, police reported Tuesday morning.
According to a missing persons report, Dustin R. Hutchison, age 37 of Mason City, was reported missing on Monday to Mason City police.
Police said Monday morning that a family member reported they had been unable to locate Hutchison on May 12 at 6:05 PM and were concerned about his welfare. Police were notified at 8:30 PM that he had been located and was safe.

For those of you feeling sorry for this man… don’t. He is a deadbeat dad of the worst kind. He owes more than $22,000 in back owed child support and has nothing to do with his kids… he belongs in jail.
HMR, I get your question. Just because it was reported today….. Casey Anthony reported her daughter missing and she had already been missing for a month. To which I mean no disrespect to this mans family.
I thought the very same thing. Reported ‘today’ but that doesn’t mean he went missing today. But I wasn’t going to get in the middle of it. I’m backing out now.
The family called police on Monday, the day the story was published, i.e., today (it is now Tuesday). Sorry if this was confusing.

A few hours ago, a family member called an officer to start a missing persons report. Anyone that knows of Dustin, and the daily battle he’s fighting- knows that this could potentially be really bad. Anyone thats seen him should call police. I know he has been suicidal in the past. He could most likely be in mason city or clear lake. Now would not be the time to start making fun of his past indiscretions.
