Mason City man cited for allegedly using Cultural Crescent as toilet

MASON CITY – A Mason City man was outside a church in the Cultural Crescent when he decided to urinate, and police took notice.

According to a report, 53-year-old Tim Coen was outside the First Baptist Church at 125 East State Street at about 10:00 AM Friday when he urinated. Coen was cited for public urination and released; he was not booked into jail.

According to Mason City city code – (8-3-38: URINATING AND DEFECATING) – “It shall be unlawful for any person to intentionally urinate or defecate upon any public street, public sidewalk or other public property or within public view upon private property. Nothing in this section shall be construed as to prohibit any person from urinating or defecating in any public or private restroom. (Ord. 1674, 3-21-1983)”

    1. @Rahmbo-I think the point that N.I.T. is trying to make here is how far down the center of our city has fallen under the current administration.
