DES MOINES – In the fall of 2013, Henry County Sheriff Rich McNarnee discovered financial discrepancies in his office. Sheriff McNarnee brought this to the attention of the Iowa State Auditor’s Office and they confirmed it during their annual audit. The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation was requested for assistance in January 2014.
On March 20, 2014, the investigation was concluded. As result of that investigation, 40-year-old office employee Jami Mallonee was terminated from employment and charged with Theft 4th Degree.
