St. Louis, MO – University of Northern Iowa junior forward Seth Tuttle has been honored as Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week, per the league office.
Tuttle averaged 21.0 ppg and shot 75 percent from the floor in leading UNI to a pair of victories. He scored 19 points, shot 6-of-8 from the field, grabbed seven rebounds and handed seven assists in a 73-54 win over Southern Illinois. Tuttle then scored 23 points on 9-of-12 shots from the field in helping UNI to a 71-69 win at Indiana State. He drained both 3-pointers he attempted against the Sycamores, including one with 3:39 left that gave UNI a 70-67 lead. Tuttle also added three steals against ISU.
The honor marks the second time this season and third time in his career that Tuttle has been named Player of the Week.
UNI will be in action next at the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament in St. Louis, Missouri when they take on Southern Illinois. Tip is slated for 8:35 p.m. at the Scottrade Center.
