ATLANTIC – A robbery was foiled Thursday morning by a DCI agent who happened to be at the scene.
On January 29, 2014, at approximately 8:40 p.m, Brady Thomas Salberg, age 22, entered an Atlantic Casey’s store at 1408 East 7th Street. Salberg informed the cashier he had a weapon and demanded the money in the cash register.
Division of Criminal Investigation Special Agent Shelby McCreedy noticed the incident unfolding, instructed people in the parking lot not to enter the store, and called 911. Special Agent McCreedy entered the store, identified herself as a peace officer, and ordered Salberg to the floor. Salberg complied with her instructions until officers from Atlantic Police Department arrived.
Salberg was taken into custody by the Atlantic Police Department and was transported to the Cass County Jail. He is currently being held on charges of 2nd Degree Robbery, a Class C Felony.
Last year, Salberg, of Spencer, Iowa was also arrested for Burglary 3rd & Theft 2nd, Credit Card Fraud, Theft 5th among other charges.

He is innocent until proven guilty.
