WASHINGTON – Senator Mitch McConnell wasn’t a fan of President Barack Obama’s State of the Union Speech delivered Tuesday evening.
“And last night, the President had a real chance to unite the nation around a forward-looking agenda,” McConnell said. “He had a huge opportunity to reach to the middle and chart a new path – at a time when nearly 70 percent of Americans say that the country is either stagnant or worse off now than when the President took office. That we’re on the wrong path. It could have been a legacy-making moment.”

Sen. McConnell could have used this opportunity to provide direction and a new start for the nation, but instead he took the predictable path of denigrating the president.
