RURAL WINNEBAGO COUNTY – One woman was injured in a two car accident Monday near Lake Mills.
According to a report from the Iowa State patrol, at about 4:30 PM Monday, a 2006 Chrysler mini-van driven by Anthony Gau, age 42 of Leland, was southbound on 170th Avenue and approaching A-30, a couple of miles west of Lake Mills, when a 1997 Ford F-150 driven by 67 year-old John Kelso of Lake Mills approached 170th Avenue traveling eastbound on A-30. The State Patrol report stated that Gau failed to stop and yield at the stop sign at the intersection and struck Kelso’s vehicle, sending it into the south ditch.
Injured in the accident was 40 year-old Kelly Ranae Gau of Leland. She was transported by Lake Mills ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Mason City.
There was no official word on Gau’s condition, but according to her Facebook page, at about 9 PM Monday evening a post was made that said “I Have A Headache”.
