GREEN BAY – “It’s bittersweet in many ways.”
That’s about how Vikings coach Leslie Frazier summed up the game Sunday as his team gave up a lead and settled for a 26-26 tie against Green Bay, who took the field without star quarterback Aaron Rogers.
The teams traded field goals in overtime, and both had a chance to win with touchdowns but could not convert after getting into the red zone in the extra session.
Adrian Peterson again led the Vikings with a big rushing day of 146 yard on 32 carries.
The Packers went deep into their bench at quarterback when starter Scott Tolzein was ineffective. Third-stringer Matt Flynn came into the game and found a rhythm, leading the Packers back to salvage the tie.
