KENSETT – A man was struck by a vehicle in Kensett Sunday evening and injured, according to reports to the NIT newsroom.
Mason City ambulances were en route to Kensett at 10:05 PM to pick up the injured 22 year-old. The incident took place near 1st Street and Elm Street. According to reports, the man had been drinking, up to three shots, prior to the incident.
Mason City first responders had gone to the scene, where the man was struck by a vehicle that was traveling at a medium-high rate of speed, causing damage to the windshield. The extent of the man’s injuries were not known.
The vehicle left the scene, and a local woman was arrested.
Angela Marie Honebrink was later arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an accident and driving while license suspended or revoked.

If it was her boyfriend she hit, I would suspect it to have been on purpose …. she has a violent, unstable personality fueled by alcohol and drugs. It is always someone else’s fault, she never has or will take responsibility for her actions. No matter how wrong they are she tries to justify them anyway she can. Typical socialpathic behavior. Hopefully she is put away for a long period of time so her children and the rest of society can be safe from her.
This woman had been in trouble 5X for driving with a revoked liscence.

WHO’S FAULT IS THIS???? ITS THE COURT SYSTEM THAT KEEPS LETTING HER GO! WITH HER RECORD, SHE SHOULD HAVE BEEN PUT IN PRISON A LONG TIME AGO. HOPEFULLY THEY WILL PUT HER AWAY THIS TIME BEFORE SHE KILLS SOMEONE…..AND THE LAST THING SHE IS… RESPONSIBLE.
Hitting a pedestrian and leaving the scene should be attempted murder.
Doesn’t really matter what the story leading up to this accident is. You can’t just get in an accident no matter how serious or minor it is and leave. The driver should have done the responsible thing stop get out and offer any assistance possible. What if that man was all alone he would have laid in the street suffering until someone happened to come across him. Heres to hoping serious charges get put on the driver for their irresponsible actions. Hoping all is well for the injured man!
good god why did this guy walk out in front of a fast moving car in downtown kensett? He must of waited for a long time for the only car in town to walk into on such a busy street.
