MASON CITY – Authorities responded to a man found dead in a restaurant parking loton Sunday morning.
According to police, on Sunday, July 21st, 2013 at 8:40 AM, the Mason City Police Department received a report of a subject down in the parking lot of PaPa’s restaurant. The subject, Brian J. Bode, age 45 years of Mason City, was found deceased. After the preliminary investigation it appears Mr. Bode died of natural causes. The Medical Examiner’s office planned a autopsy later Sunday.
It was an employee of the restaurant and he had pre-existing health issues. He worked Saturday night and was leaving work. When posting a story like this, it would be helpful to have the details in there to prevent people from making assumptions that it was because of the food or any of the other rumors that have been flying across the internet.
That just wouldn’t be nits style.
