WESTMINSTER, Colo., June 13 (UPI) — As many as three people were missing following a gas explosion Thursday in Westminster, Colo., that damaged about eight homes, officials said.
Two people suffered minor injuries in the explosion, which happened at about 11:30 a.m. near U.S. Highway 36 and the Westminster Mall, KMGH-TV, Denver reported.
Officials evacuated the area and Xcel Energy said it has turned off the utilities.
Investigators were not yet sure whether the explosion was caused by natural gas or propane.
