Hundreds of containers of urine found in Newtown, Conn., home

NEWTOWN, Conn., April 30 (UPI) — Newtown, Conn., police found 200 to 300 one-gallon containers of urine in two rooms of a vacant house, they said.

The discovery was made Friday, after police were alerted to suspicious activity at the house. Officers found the back door broken down, and the containers of urine inside. They then called the state narcotics police task force and the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, The Hartford Courant reported Tuesday.

DEEP spokesman Dennis Schain said a contractor could safely remove the containers, under the agency’s supervision.
