COLORADO SPRINGS, Feb. 23 (UPI) — Former Colorado Springs police officer Joshua Carrier was sentenced Friday to 70 years to life in prison for 123 counts including sexual assault on a child.
Carrier was arrested after being accused of molested boys while he was a volunteer wrestling coach at Horace Mann Middle School in Colorado Springs, CBS-TV, Denver, reported.
He was convicted on 123 counts including sexual assault on a child, enticement of a child and unlawful sexual contact.
Carrier exhibited a pattern of abuse while in a position of trust, prosecutors said.
