MASON CITY – A Mason City man involved in an assault in April of 2012 has been arrested by police.
William Scott Foster, 47, turned himself in to the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Department at Lark Avenue on Thursday evening on a valid warrant for missing a court hearing on February 18th for a charge of assault causing bodily injury, a serious misdemeanor.
Foster was taken into custody and is being held at this time on $1,000 bond, cash only.
According to a report, Mason City police were dispatched to the Super 8 Motel in Mason City on April 14th, 2012, for a disturbance involving Foster and a 26 year-old Des Moines woman, who is named as the victim of an assault for which Foster was charged.
Foster had left the scene and an arrest warrant was issued at that time, which was later served. At this time, no new court date has been set in the case.
SUBJECT IS INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY

Doesn’t matter who his father is. Lionel will be right there by his side in court. A few years ago I was at the court house paying a traffic ticket and this same person, Billy Foster, was there for urinating in public, and of course Lionel was there playing the race card for him.
@mcanonymous-that has been the rap on the Fosters for years and it is the reason Leonard didn’t get re-elected to the council. They only see black and never white. I know both of them and they are pretty nice guys but just can’t get over the race thing.

Sad the mom had to test both for DNA to prove it.
