NIACC men roll past Waldorf JV, 107-68

niacc_trojans_logoMASON CITY – Sophomore Mike Wagner scored a career-high 28 points and sophomore Mohamed Mohamed scored a career-high 21 points to lead NIACC to a 107-68 victory over the Waldorf College junior varsity Sunday night in the NIACC gym.

Wagner, a 6-foot-4 forward from LaPorte, Ind., scored 27 of his 28 points in the first half as the Trojans jumped to a 57-35 lead. He was 6 of 9 from 3-point range.

NIACC (17-8 overall) has won five straight contests and six of its last seven games. It was the third time this season NIACC has scored more than 100 points.
Wagner’s previous career high was 21 points in a 90-54 victory over the Waldorf junior varsity in November in Forest City. Mohamed’s previous career high was 21 points against Hibbing Community College in November.

Chris Davis and Matt McKenzie both scored 12 points and Matthew Don scored 10 points for the Trojans.

The Trojans also received a career-high 13 assists from sophomore Josiah Lee. Lee’s previous career-high assist total was nine against Milwaukee Tech in November.

The Waldorf junior varsity was led by Tyler Parrish with 21 points.
