Forest City, Iowa – February at Waldorf College is full of first-rate performances.

Dr. Patrick Hicks, author of five poetry collections, will read from his work and sign books on Tuesday, February 5, at 6:00 p.m. in the Salveson Ballroom. Invited to campus for Waldorf’s Distinguished Visiting Writer Series, Dr. Hicks is the Writer-in-Residence at Augustana College inRock Island, Illinois. The reading is free and open to the public.

Waldorf Theatre presents “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” Wednesday, February 13, through Saturday, February 16. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors and non-Waldorf students. To reserve your tickets, call 641-585-8585.

On Monday, February 18, vocal ensemble Five by Design will perform at the Forest City High School Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Based out ofMinnesota, and recently featured on Iowa Public Television, the group brings to life the songs of the swing era with its signature harmonies. Part of the Waldorf Community Artists Series, tickets for the show are $10 for adults and $5 for students and can be purchased from the Forest City Chamber of Commerce or by calling 800-292-1903.

The Waldorf College Choir will perform on Monday, February 25, at 7:30 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Forest City. The concert isfree to attend.

Waldorf associate professor of music Dr. Kristín Jónína Taylor will perform in the Hagen Recital Hall on Wednesday, February 27. A renowned pianist who has played all over the world, Dr. Taylor’s recital begins at 7:30 p.m. There is no cost to attend.
