Mason City man held in connection with child’s death

MASON CITY -A Mason City man is being held in connection with the death of a child.

Kenneth Leroy Adams, 29, is being held in the Cerro Gordo County Jail on a charge of child endangerment resulting in death.

Mason City police officers investigated an incident on October 27th involving an unresponsive male child that later died.  The father of the child was later revealed to be Kenneth Adams.  According to records, Mason City police executed a search warrant on Adams’ home on October 30th.

A person who commits child endangerment resulting in the death of a child or minor is guilty of a class “B” felony.  A person convicted of this violation shall be confined to prison for no more than fifty years.

  1. I hope the MCPD crossed all their t’s and dotted all their i’s while working this case and that no one plea bargains this down to nothing if he was responsible.
