The Hartford Courant newspaper reported Friday morning that a shooter had shot and killed several people, including up to 18 children, at an elementary school.
The Courant reported that the shooter was also killed and the number of victims is unclear.
Sources told the Courant that many of the shootings took place in a kindergarten classroom.
“Police were still searching the school at 11 a.m., and police dogs had been brought in. Around noon, the triage area was broken down, stretchers were taken away and the SWAT team left the building,” The Courant said.
