FOREST CITY – According to a Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department inmate roster Sarladine Allah Connally, age 21, was booked into the county jail in Forest City shortly before 1pm Thursday.

The roster indicated he was charged with one felony count of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, one felony count of failure to affix a drug tax stamp, and a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Connally was released two hours later after posting bond on the charges. Further court proceedings are pending.

Connally is listed as a linebacker from Decatur, Alabama for Waldorf on the college’s team roster. He is in his junior year there after playing football for Montarey Peninsula College in California during the 2011 season.

In January 2010 Connerly was indicted by a grand jury in Morgan County, Alabama for felony 2nd degree burglary of an occupied home.

According to the Decatur Daily the indictment stemmed from an incident in November 2009 in which Connerly and three accomplices entered a sunroom of a residence and had broken a window to gain further entry to the home. The home owner successfully scared the men into fleeing the residence.

Decatur police pursued the SUV they had fled in after spotting it speeding few blocks away. The SUV pulled over after an occupant threw a bag out of the window. Police recover the bag which contained a semi-automatic assault rifle according to the Decatur Daily.
