LAWRENCE, Kan. – NIACC hurdler Tanesha Edmond (So., St. Elizabeth, Jamaica) ran to a sixth-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles during the final day of Kansas Relays on Saturday.
Edmond finished in 1:01.73, which was a little under three seconds behind winner Michele Cumberbatch of Lincoln College (MO). Edmond beat a pair of NCAA Division I runners in the race, and was less than half-a-second behind two more.
Edmond leaves with two top-10 finishes at the Kansas Relays after placing ninth in the 400-meters yesterday.
On the men’s side, the men’s 4×880-yards team finished 14th in 7:57.78. The team was made up of RJ Harris (So., Des Moines, IA), Andy Corcoran (So., Sumner, IA), OJ Ojullu (Fr., Worthington, MN), and Jonny Worley (Fr., Greene, IA).
Thrower Lance Maxwell (So., Racine, WI) was 15th in the men’s discus with a 47.85 meter (157’) throw.
The Trojans will be at the Region XI Championships in Council Bluffs next Friday and Saturday.
