DR. SEUSS’ THE LORAX (PG): Zac Efron and Taylor Swift provide the voices in this 3-D animated adaptation of the classic children’s book about a boy, a girl and the strange, grouchy creature who talks of Truffula Trees and the importance of protecting the environment.
PROJECT X (R): “The Hangover” director Todd Phillips produced this raucous comedy about a group of high school seniors who throw the mother of all house parties — with a heavy emphasis on the raucous.
WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT KEVIN (R): Tilda Swinton racks up another astonishing performance, this time playing the bewildered mother of a teenager (Ezra Miller) who goes on a murderous rampage at his school.
