MASON CITY – Mason City police are still seeking a bank robbery suspect.

The police investigation of a February 3rd bank robbery in downtown Mason City ties Emily Elizabeth Francis, 29, of Mason City, to the bomb threat and bank robbery as an accomplice before, during and after.

Mason City Police today confirmed that “yes there are still active arrest warrants for Emily (Francis).” Captain Mike McKelvey also said that “I did verify with the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office today that the warrants are valid.”

“We have been in contact with Emily,” McKelvey continued. “We are not able to physically arrest her at this time but have a pretty good idea where she’s at. I can’t say much else about her situation at this time. We will definitely inform the media when she’s taken into custody.”

Subject is innocent until proven guilty.

  1. She’s in rehab & she’s been on facebook. On what grounds can they NOT arrest her for bank robbery. WTG MCPD! The only reason they even figured out she’s involved was because of that guy snitching on her otherwise MCPD wouldn’t have had a freaking clue.

    1. They caught the main person in the crime quickly, and she will be joining him in due time. Plus if they know where she is then they must not be too worried about her fleeing.

Both of them will be doing a good amount of Federal (not local) time for the terrorism charge mixed with the robbery of a federal institution.

But then, as always, some people are never happy.

Good job MCPD, for a very quick apprehension.

      1. Of course they are not worried about her fleeing do you see that face its not one that can be missed and only one a mother could love.
