An Iowa doctor has been prohibited from practicing medicine in Iowa until charges against him are resolved.
The Iowa Board of Medicine stated in a press release that Michael C. Prescher, M.D., a 47 year-old Iowa-licensed physician who practices anesthesiology and pain medicine in Iowa, has had charges of sexual misconduct and professional incompetency filed against him for his actions while two female patients were under sedation.
Prescher is prohibited from practicing medicine under his Iowa medical license until the matter is resolved.
A hearing is scheduled for January 12, 2012.
