Delta Connection carriers has sent the city of Mason City a letter notifying them of the 90 day notice to cancel their service at Mason City Airport.
According to the letter, Delta can “no longer economically continue this service.”
They blame high fuel costs and low passenger demand for the filing of the notice.
The notice says Great Lakes Airlines intends to submit a bid to be a carrier for the Mason City Airport.
