Heather Gudenkauf to appear at Mason City Library

A free program will be held on Saturday June 18th at 2pm in the Mason City Room of the Mason City Public Library. Mason City native and New York Times best-selling author Heather (Schmida) Gudenkauf will discuss her novels, The Weight of Silence and These Things Hidden. Heather spent much of her childhood and adolescence in Mason City, graduating from Newman High School. She graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in elementary education, has spent her career working with students of all ages and is currently a Literacy Coach, an educator who provides curricular and professional development support to teachers. Heather lives in Dubuque, Iowa with her husband and three children. Signed copies of her novels will be available for purchase at the end of her presentation. |
