In the early morning hours of 4-19-11, Mason City police were called to 150 S. Grover Avenue for a report of a female subject that was caught in the process of going through a vehicle by the vehicle owner. The vehicle owner was able to give the dispatchers an exact description of the vehicle that the female subject left in after being confronted about breaking into the vehicle. a Mason City police officer located the vehicle several blocks away from the scene and stopped the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle matched the description that witnesses described to officers and dispatchers.
Lisa Ann Nelson (49) of Mason City was arrested for the incident and charged with attempted burglary of a motor vehicle, (serious misdemeanor), driving under suspension and failure to carry proof of insurance (both simple misdemeanors). Nelson was held on a $100 bond to see the magistrate at the Cerro Gordo County Jail.|
