This afternoon Director of Education John Glass announced that Iowa’s graduation rate for 2010 rose to 88.88 %. An improvement over last year’s 87.3%. Some of the highest gains were reported in the larger school districts, Des Moines school district rose 5% to 78%. To insure accurate numbers from state to state a new calculation was federally mandated for all states this year.||
