Wanted Clear Lake man accused of passing bad bill at Buffalo Wild Wings

MASON CITY – A Clear Lake man allegedly fled the Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant after passing a counterfeit bill and was arrested on other charges.

Mason City police and Cerro Gordo deputies were called to the area of Buffalo Wild Wings, 4159 4th Street SW, on Friday, January 5 at about 8:39 PM to investigate a person who allegedly passed a counterfeit $50 motion picture bill. Mason City police went to the restaurant to pick up the fake bill, and deputies stopped a vehicle with a person inside who may have passed the bill and then fled the store. After an investigation, 32-year-old Michael Jesus Reis, who shows addresses in Clear Lake and Crystal Lake, was arrested for driving while suspended, no insurance and a valid warrant out of Winnebago County. There did not appear, yet, to be charges brought in connection to the counterfeit bill.

Reis was taken to the Cerro Gordo county jail and soon transferred to the Winnebago county jail.

REIS, MICHAEL JESUS
