Democrats to hold rally Saturday in Mason City “for Iowa working families”

Representative Sharon Steckman and Senator Amanda Ragan

MASON CITY – Local Democratic legislators will hold a rally this weekend in Mason City to protest a bill introduced in the Iowa Legislature they say will “strip away workers’ rights.”

North Iowa legislators Representative Sharon Steckman, Representative Todd Prichard and Senator Amanda Ragan will hold a “Rally for Iowa Working Families” to fight against the bill introduced in the Iowa House and Senate that they claim strips away the rights of workers. The three lawmakers are holding the rally, they said in a statement, to give citizens in north central Iowa an opportunity to stand up for the teachers, firefighters, police officers, state, county and city workers, and other public servants in our community.

All are invited to attend, they say.

Prior to the rally, a forum is scheduled to be held at the public library from 10 AM to 11:30 AM. The legislators plan to walk to Central Park from there, and invite everyone to join.

WHO: Legislative members Rep. Steckman, Rep. Prichard & Senator Ragan
WHAT: Rally for Iowa Working Families
WHERE: Mason City Central Park
WHEN: Saturday, February 11, 2017, 12:00 PM

Hundreds of teachers, law enforcement, nurses, and other working families packed the State Capitol this week in an effort to stop a bill that denies a voice to those in their own workplace. Democrats say this legislation “will deal a serious blow to hard working Iowans.”

Crying Democrats, they lost and still can’t figure out that the majority of people voted against them and they still think the majority is with them, Delusional. Figure it out Steckman, Prichard and Ragan. I am a working person and I am not a Democrat, do they think the only people that is a working person falls into a union classification?

Where do you work smart guy? Like that 40 hour week? Like anything about your job? Thank the unions for giving you all the things you do have.

What the hell do dems know about work????

Should be a big crowd – 95% of all pubic servants are DEMORATS.

The Spend Sisters will be right up front looking for donations.

Public servant Union STOOGES! – f -the private sector.

You aren’t very nice to the police, fire fighters, nurses who help you out immensely, and teachers who taught you how to read and write, and prison guards who protect your children from the other inmates.

Wha, Wha. It is real hard to feel bad for someone making that much with their benefits and doing it off the backs of the taxpayers.

All this means is that will be treated like the rest of the working people. No better and no worse. They will just have to do their jobs the way they are paid to.

And all you morons will be screaming the loudest when the services these people provide go bye bye. Probably blame it on the democrats too.

I sure hope they do not block the streets. That could be dangerous and I wouldn’t want to see anything bad happen to them. If they want to stand in the park and look like fools let them go ahead. We pay their wages and will decide how our money is used.

Another rally in Ol’ River City. Do you think that they will get more then 40 to show up.

The dems are good at money laundering for the unions .
I wonder how much of the workers union dues went to hillary & these boopsie twin .

Even frank roosevelt hated to think about what public employee unions would do to the working folks that pay all the bills, as he signed it into law . Thanks for nothing.

He also spearheaded the New Deal.

At least if the Spend Sisters are in Mason City, they aren’t down at the Statehouse screwing something up.
