RURAL CERRO GORDO COUNTY – A Minnesota man said to be driving in a reckless fashion was stopped and charged with drunk driving, among other charges, Monday afternoon outside Mason City.
A Cerro Gordo deputy stopped a vehicle at the 186 mile marker on Highway 18, traveling westbound, Monday afternoon around 2:28 PM. The driver, 36-year-old Gentry Lee Slaughter of Sioux Falls, Minnesota, was said to be driving recklessly. The investigation conducted during the traffic stop led to charges of first offense operating while intoxicated, no driver’s license, no insurance and open container of alcohol.
Slaughter remains held in the Cerro Gordo County Jail Tuesday.
