RURAL CERRO GORDO COUNTY – A Britt man was injured in a two-car accident Friday on Interstate 35.
According to the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the scene of an accident near the 197 mile marker on Interstate 35 in rural Cerro Gordo county on Friday, May 22 at about 1:41 PM. Matthew Senne, age 33 of Britt, was northbound on I-35 when he lost control of his 1998 Chevy Cavalier and went through the median, lofted into the air, and crossed into the south bound lanes, where he struck a 2007 Infinity driven by Dominic Holmes of Plymouth, Minnesota. Mason City fire medics also responded to the scene, and transported Senne to Mercy Hospital in Mason City for what was called probable injuries.
Charges are pending against Senne at this time. He is a twice-convicted drunk driver.
