Law enforcement to ramp up patrols over holiday weekend

logo-iowa-state-patrolDES MOINES – Buckle up or face a ticket, law enforcement in Iowa warns.

This Memorial Day holiday weekend, the Iowa Department of Public Safety’s Iowa State Patrol will have increased patrol efforts on Iowa roadways with the main focus on seatbelt usage.

Last year during the three-day Memorial Day holiday weekend, three people were killed on Iowa roadways.

Motorists are encouraged, as always, to obey the posted speed limits, wear seatbelts, and obey all laws while traveling. Officers will also be on the lookout for distracted driving and impaired drivers.

Main focus on seat belt usage my rear. They are out to find as many D.U.I’s as they can. That is where the money is and they know it. The limit on alcohol is bogus and they know it. 2 beers will not get the average man drunk. It is just a scam to get more money.

yes, that old license plate light gig will be used a lot. Anything to get in your car and your life

Don’t forget about half the force will be between clear lake and forest city since they got the music deal going on sticking their snoot in every car they can hoping to pass out the DUI’s like candy…
Get the poor working stiff that had 2 beers.. He’s the real criminal here…

in other words, this is going to be a very good $$$$$ weekend for the state. The average patrol salary ranges from 65.000 – 90.000 dollars. They will be out collecting your donation this weekend
