BEATRICE, Neb. – The No. 9 NIACC baseball team will play Southeast CC (Neb.) in the North Plains District Tournament on Sunday and possibly Monday in a best of 3 series.
The series was originally slated for Saturday and Sunday but due to inclement weather it was pushed back a day.
NIACC (46-13) won the NJCAA Region XI tournament for the second time in three years with a 7-0 win over Southwestern on Monday at Riverfront Stadium in Waterloo.
Southeast CC (41-19) stopped DCTC 7-2 in the NJCAA Region XIII title game. The Storm won five straight contests in their regional tournament after dropping a 12-2 decision to Williston State College in their second round contest.
The Storm topped Lake Region State College 4-1, Bismarck State College 11-3, Williston State 4-0 and DCTC 7-5 and 7-2.
