Rummells signs With Jacksonville Jaguars

unnamedJACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Former offensive lineman Jack Rummells has signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars after participating in last week’s rookie minicamp.

Rummells, a four-year starter for UNI on the offensive line, was one of five players to be signed out of the minicamp. Rummells is the third player from UNI’s 2015 graduating class to be signed by an NFL program, joining David Johnson and Xavier Williams, who both signed with the Arizona Cardinals.

The two-time All-MVFC first-team selection started all 14 games for UNI, serving as team captain in 2014. He was an integral part in helping UNI to 2,353 yards on the ground that included 28 rushing scores that ranked sixth all-time at UNI.

He helped the Panther offense to finish first in the Missouri Valley Football Conference and the FCS in redzone offense last season, earning MVFC Offensive Lineman of the Week for his performance in UNI’s win over top-10 ranked foe Illinois State.

Rummells was named to the College Sporting News, AP and Walter Camp All-America first-teams while also getting second-team nods from the Sports Network, College Sports Madness and Beyond Sports Network. He was also awarded the fall MVC Leadership & Service award, along with being named to the MVFC Scholar-Athlete team for the second consecutive season.
