MASON CITY – A Mason City woman is facing two citations after her dogs ran loose and attacked a neighbor’s dog.
Stacia Ann Patterson, age 21 and the owner of the two dogs – whose breed was not released – is charged with two counts of animal at large, a violation of city code 8-4A-9. Police were called to investigate on April 12 at about noon to 700 13th Street SE on a complaint of two dogs at large that had attacked a neighbor’s dog. The dogs were caught by a friend of Patterson and the two citations were issued to her. There was no word on the extent of injuries nor the breed of the victimized dog.
If found guilty, according to Mason City code, Patterson code face a fine of not more than $500.00 or by imprisonment of not more than 30 days and shall be guilty of a municipal infraction punishable by a civil penalty of not more than $500.00 for a first and single offense, $750.00 for any second offense and $1,000.00 for each subsequent and additional offense.
Patterson’s troubles with her dog might not yet be over. She reported Wednesday via social media that “People are really stupid some idiot came over to install my new heater and fried all my wires in my house so no power and has let my dog out of the house not once but twice since they have been here … I’m pissed off to the max today”.
Wow, “pissed off to the max today” And….fried wires. Good God, how much more can one person be expected to take?
She is responsible for what her dogs do and she wants to blame everything else. Fine the hell out of her and take the dogs away.
