Mason City man injured in auto accident

mercy emergency room snow nightMASON CITY – A slippery road contributed to an accident that sent a Mason City man to the hospital.

According to Sheriff Kevin Pals, on January 29, 2015 at 5:04 AM, deputies responded to a single vehicle rollover accident in the 4400 mile of 310th Street. The driver, 58-year-old William Knoke of Mason City, was driving a 2005 Ford Ranger Pickup as he drove west on 310th Street when he lost control on the ice-covered roadway and slide into the north ditch. The vehicle struck a private driveway, which caused the vehicle to roll and land upside down.

Knoke was transported to Mercy Medical Center – North Iowa by Mason City Fire Medics for his injuries. Clear Lake Fire Rescue assisted at the scene.
