Stealin’ booze puts man in jail

MASON CITY – A Mason City man already awaiting trial for carrying a dangerous weapon was jailed very early Sunday for attempting to steal booze from a North End convenience store.

Michael Arron Canady, 24, was arrested at about 3:30 AM Sunday morning, January 18, after police were called to the Kum & Go convenience store at 1224 North Federal Avenue. Employees reported a theft of a bottle of alcohol valued at $15. Canady was located and arrested on charges of fourth degree theft and criminal trespassing and providing a police officer with false information. Canady was soon released from jail pending a court date.

Canady is already waiting for a March 17 jury trial for carrying a dangerous weapon, which turned out to be brass knuckles. He had been arrested along with two other men during a traffic stop on December 10, near 20th Street SE and Penn Avenue.

Earlier in 2014, Canady was caught by police drunk in public and carrying a long knife in public. He had been released from prison in March.

Send his ass back to wherever he came from. Brass knuckles, knife, next it will be a gun, unregistered of course.

Just put the creep back in jail and leave him there.
