OKOBOJI – At a fundraiser with Rand Paul in Okoboji, Iowa, DREAMers Erika Andiola & Cesar Vargas confront Steve King for trying to end DACA (deferred action for childhood arrivals). Kentucky Senator Rand Paul stands up and leaves the table when Erika says she’s a DREAMer.
According to immigrationpolicy.org, immigrants who meet certian criteria are commonly referred to as “DREAMers” because they comprise most (though not all) of the individuals who meet the general requirements of the Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors (DREAM) Act. There are approximately 1.4 million immigrants currently in the United States who might meet the requirements of the deferred action initiative, either now or when they are older.
Steve King has said he opposes the DREAM act.

Actually what Steve King was saying was exactly right constitutionally and I thought he was being very respectful if these two wouldve actually listened to his reasoning. People won’t admit when they are wrong or listen so it is no wonder Rand walked away. He is probably used to that in Washington. Plus King was smart enough to see through this girl’s ploy trying to get him to rip her card up. Nice try!
You may be right about the constitution and the way King presented it but don’t try and defend Rand Paul. He cowardly ducked his head and got out of their so he would not be put on the spot, I am not much of a Steve King fan but at least he stuck to what he believes in and did not run away like a scared dog. Rand should take the D out of his first name and just call himself Ran Paul!!
King is such an embarrassment to this state. This young lady is way smarter than him and will most likely contribute more to society than this tool. He’s got to go!
I thought Rand Paul was a tough guy but man was I wrong! What a coward! He abandoned his burger and ran away from a little Mexican girl and boy. Those two outspoke and out thought King!
