Mason City woman faces parole violation

MASON CITY – A convicted felon is facing her second parole violation and is being held in jail on no bond.

Krystel Rae Anderson, age 29, was arrested by Mason City police Tuesday morning at a Mason City residence on a warrant. She had been wanted since March 31, when the Iowa Department of Corrections issued a complaint alleging that she violated the terms of her parole from prison.

Anderson is being held in the Cerro Gordo County Jail on no bond as she awaits an unknown court date.

Anderson is a convicted felon, related to drug charges. She served just less than a year in the Iowa Correctional Institution for Women in Mitchellville, from May 23, 2012 and was released on May 10th, 2013. While incarcerated, she was charged with felony possession of contraband but the charge was dismissed.
