Known Mason City burglar busted again

MASON CITY – A local man known for burglary and theft was busted this week on another burglary charge.

According to Mason City police, Justin Lee Holt, age 37, was arrested on Monday, November 26th after an investigation into a burglary at Dimensional Graphics Group, located at 325 North Jackson Avenue.

As a result of the investigation, police served a search warrant at 524 3rd Street NE in Mason City on Monday and recovered a laptop that was stolen from Dimensional Graphics on November 24th.

Holt is being held in the Cerro Gordo County Jail on $5,000 cash bond on a charge of felony D possession of stolen property.

In October of 2013,  Judge Annette Boehlje sentenced Holt to 5 years in prison for felony D 3rd degree Burglary, but the sentence was suspended. He was also placed on probation for 3 years and a fine was suspended. Judge Boehlje also dismissed a second charge of felony D third degree burglary, and a felony C 1st degree theft charge was pled down to simple misdemeanor 5th degree theft.  He received 30 days in jail.

Should he ever have the misfortune to break into my home he will not have to worry about going to jail.
