Women’s College Wrestling: Iowa finishes runner-up at NCAA Women’s Wrestling National Championships
CORALVILLE, IOWA – The second-ranked University of Iowa women’s wrestling team finished second at the inaugural NCAA Women’s Wrestling National Championships in Coralville, Iowa, on Saturday. Three Hawkeyes — Valarie Solorio, Kennedy Blades, and Kylie Welker — earned individual titles. The team results were:
1. McKendree – 171
2. Iowa – 166
3. North Central (IL) – 123.5

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Behind a smothering defensive effort and a milestone performance from junior forward Hannah Stuelke, the No. 2 seed Iowa Hawkeyes secured a place in the Big Ten Tournament Championship with a 59-42 victory over No. 3 seed Michigan on Saturday afternoon.
The championship showdown against No. 1 seed UCLA is on Sunday at 1:15 p.m. (CT).
