MASON CITY – A Mason City man who was charged with aggravated domestic assault on Christmas day had that charge (and another) thrown out by a judge, before he was later arrested for public intoxication.
Jermaine T. Riley, age 32, was arrested at the 200 block of West State Street on December 25th at about 11:00 PM for an alleged domestic assault. Officers also arrested Riley for violation of a no contact order that was already in place due to a previous domestic assault charge that took place on November 27th.
On February 14th, Judge Annette Boehlje threw out the domestic assault charge from December 25th and lifted the protective order on the victim. Riley was assessed $115.50 in court costs, however.
Judge Boehlje was not finished letting Riley off the hook. She also threw out the felony domestic assault charge (third or subsequent offense) from the November 27th incident but was harsh enough to assess Riley $127.05 in court costs.
However, another judge ruled that Riley violated the protective order on December 25th that was in place from the November 27th incident and he was given 7 days in jail.
In the last incident, Mason City police officers were sent to check on Riley at the Shalom Tower located at 304 3rd Street NE. Riley was arrested for public intoxication and taken to jail.
SUBJECT IS INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY
It would be really good if we could deport jailbird Ho’s and dopers along with the import’s.

This guy isn’t really from Mason City, he just migrated here cause we are so forgiving and we like to have our corn fed women beat up. Id like to see the ratio of how many white to black men are charged with domestic assault and then have the charges dropped????????????????
