After hearing the Ask the Mayor show on Wednesday morning, I can’t believe what I heard.
First of all Eric, why are you going after Matt Marquardt? Peter Children was the one in March who said your wife should kill you! Calling Matt a bully, a virus, a wolf in sheep’s clothing — are you talking about yourself, Eric?
Having two articles on the front page of the Globe two days in a row concerning you the Mayor really concerns a lot of people. Never in my day have we had a Major saying such terrible things about another person.
Matt Marquardt is a very honest, caring, and friendly person. He does not deserve this kind of slander, especially coming from you, Eric.

I will not vote for Eric Bookmeyer! Hope the people of Mason City can see through this man!
IF WE ALL HATE THIS FAT DRUNKEN SLOB SO MUCH WE BETTER GET OUT AND VOTE, MAX I SURE HOPE YOU GET VOTED IN AND THE BOOKMEYERS MOVE OUT OF TOWN, CLEAR LAKE WOULD BE A GOOD PLACE FOR HIM TO STUMBLE UP AND DOWN MAIN STREET.

No one can really STAND you on any level. Even your so called drunk friends really can’t stand you.
I’m one of them and we slam you up and down all the time, we just know what’s in it for us. You have more fraud in your little finger then all of us stumbling down the street together.

I kind of feel bad for Bookies wife. Having to wake up to that every morning and supporting him and his bad habits. I can’t think she’s proud of the reputation that he has gotten.
Legally she could sign him in to a treatment center. Especially as a doctor. She must like it although I can’t understand it when you think there are two young children in that house.

I agree! Bookmeyer has to put other people down to make himself look better isn’t anything going to make him look good unless former mayor is in front of his name. Please people get out and vote this bully out
